Paragon Community Services has been providing day services for adults with disabilities since 1983. Through interactive activities we combine skill enhancement and on-site therapies to offer opportunities that increase independence and improve the quality of life for our participants. Our services are as dynamic and changing as the individuals we serve. Services have evolved to include a Night Program for adults with Alzheimer's and Dementia. This unique program will run during evening hours when individuals with these diagnoses are awake and active. We will provide participants with opportunities to relax, engage with peers in socialization and activities, and be actively involved while their caretakers get the rest
they need.

Our participants have a variety of circumstances that may affect their ability to care for themselves, communicate their needs and wants effectively, or interact with their environment without assistance. These may include special medical needs, assistance in self-monitoring appropriate social behavior or the need for total assistance with essential personal cares.

Creative and adaptive recreation is a high priority at Paragon Community Services. Activities include activities of daily living, art, academics, exercise, reality awareness, sensory integration, cooking, self-awareness and leisure skill development. Community outings might include going out to lunch, shopping, attending plays, festivals or sporting events, lake-front visits and other events to reinforce a sense of social belonging, promote community safety awareness, and broaden one’s network of friends and interests.
