The Paragon Sunset Club

A Restful Night's Sleep

The day after a restless night’s sleep can be difficult. Everything from your energy level to your concentration can be affected. Unfortunately, those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and Dementia know this feeling all too well.

Almost 70% of those suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia experience sleep disruptions in the form of sleeplessness, agitation, night terrors or wandering. For caregivers, those sleep disruptions can be trying, exhausting and worrisome.

At Paragon Community Services, we understand how difficult these nightly interruptions can be and we are here to help. That’s why we created The Paragon Sunset Club.

For those with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, this unique program is an opportunity to have fun and socialize during nighttime hours. For those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, The Paragon Sunset Club is an opportunity to get a restful night’s sleep.

12 Hours of Support and Relief

For many people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, their day begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 7 a.m., which is why The Paragon Sunset Club operates during these hours. During this time, participants are able to relax in a safe, supportive atmosphere.

If desired, members can relax or sleep for a few minutes or a few hours. The Paragon Sunset Club offers contentment after an evening of rest, socialization and mingling with peers.

Caregivers can be assured that their loved ones are cared for by well-trained staff who seek to increase well-being and happiness within each person they support. At Paragon Community Services, we believe in providing quality care in a way that maintains respect and dignity for all of our participants. In addition, caregivers can finally get the rest they need and desire.

Flexible Support, Healthy Living

The Paragon Sunset Club offers many opportunities for members to get involved, including specialty cooking classes, community outings, dancing, crafts and games. Members are encouraged to engage in any or all activities. Your loved one can also take advantage of a little pampering by getting a foot or hand massage, relaxing with a foot spa, or getting a manicure or pedicure. Please ask about other bathing services that may be available.

In addition, we believe in maintaining and encouraging healthy lifestyles through exercise and a wholesome diet. We help to provide continuance of therapies by offering assistance with exercise. We also try to make fitness fun by incorporating dancing and games into our program. We provide hot, nutritious, healthy dinners every night of the week. Offering cooking classes that include learning about healthier options is another way we encourage healthy lifestyles in a fun atmosphere.

Members will have 12 hours to socialize, experience new adventures, relax or sleep. All individuals may enjoy spa-like services and will look forward to each opportunity to attend The Paragon Sunset Club.
