New Berlin – Calhoun is one of two sites available in New Berlin. This site is located on the west side of the New Berlin Industrial Park just south of Cleveland Avenue. The site supports adults with developmental disabilities in the Social Integration Program and Sensory Experience Program. Both areas have the flexibility for large group activities, a gym for exercise sessions and smaller rooms for skill building, recreational activities and sensory exploration. Close to Milwaukee County, community activities are abundant and full of variety. Attending annual festivals, trips to Harley Davidson and fishing at the local lakes are some of the off-site activities enjoyed by the people who come to this New Berlin site.

In addition, the site is now home to our Sunset Program, which operates at night, from 7 PM to 7 AM, and provides care, support, and activities for people with dementia.  Since people with dementia are often active, agitated, and/or confused during the evening hours, we strive to provide a program that allows participants to engage in socialization with peers, participate in outings and activities, and rest or sleep if they need to.  We also provide some grooming services.  By providing care and support for those with dementia, we also, as a result, provide much needed respite for their caregivers and families.
